Feeling shit at the moment, my graph explains it all, now being up 1.9k (my best ever), isn’t too terrible, but getting nowhere and still having a failing red line for the remaining 40k hands really is getting me down. I’ve gone off the idea of wanting a positive red line anymore, I just don’t expect it to happen, I do however want one that doesn’t leave me BE for k’s of hands.
I doubt I’ll be playing anymore today, so this is my month. After the great start I am very disappointed with it, and after dropping out of uni and having rent to pay (from poker), I am nervous about December already.

Just had my biggest loosing day at 50nl, down around 9 BI’s, though I made some back at 100nl. This comes on top of 3 or 4 day’s of roughly break even play, so I’m pretty annoyed. I’ve been spewing too much and FPS’ing myself into the gutter. I essentially need to tighten up OOP and stop expecting people to fold when my line doesn’t make any sense and I rep nothing.
I turned my hud on earlier, yeah I know I’ve said that before lol. Set it up again, and I’m reasonably happy with how it looks, I’m still not really happy with using one though. It was really annoying me earlier and I timed out a lot, it looks as if I’ll just have to get used to using it and stop being pathetic about it.
Also annoying is that my red line has took another sharp spiral downwards. This pretty much ties into the above though. I have a fair idea of how to improve this, one thing I hope will be relatively easy to implement, though adjusting for the other will be much harder for me. My month and graph are now starting to resemble my previous months, about 30k hands of ~BE now. Well fuck that, I’m going to fight dam fucking hard to stop that from happenning.
I will have a fucking $4k month, and I will do it without becoming a FPP pro, so help me God lol.
Targets for the rest of the week:
- Stick to new stop loss of 2.5 BI’s per session and 4.5 BI’s per day.
- Don’t play more then 9 tables, don’t even start tables when I have 9 going already.
- Focus on 6 tabling, relinquishing my spew and adapting to using the HUD.
- Start to read up on stats / HEM / HUD
- Make next bankroll milestone.

It was clear after my first hour that today wasn’t going to be my day. Determined though I fire up another session and that heads the same way, why the fuck did I keep playing for over 7 hours!
I’ve done what I always do, allowed one long fucked up session where I ran shit and played shit to half my win rate and put a big nasty dint in my results, 1/3 of my winnings down in one day! Fuck it though, I can do better then this, and I won’t let this shit day get me down lol.

I had planned to get my HUD turned on and get used to it by now, but I’ve been putting it off, and now with the new monitor, I need to put that task off a little longer. I’ve never really played in a 3×2 grid, as the best I could do on my other monitor was a 2×2 grid. So now I need to adjust. Its been a swingy month so far, so I don’t want to turn the HUD on until I’m sure I’m used to the new layout, as I don’t want little niggles interfering and disrupting my game. I’ve felt a little annoyed and tilty recently, not sure if that’s to do with running worse then typical or weather the new layout has stirred up something, as I really do hate change lol.
Here’s a pic of the new monitor, and my very spacious grinding area.
So my goals for the month are approximatly:
1. Get used to grinding with the new monitor and new table layout.
2. Re-setup HUD and activate
3. $2k return for the month and to be rolled for 100nl

October 2009 didn’t start off very well for me, I lost maybe 3 BI’s IIRC in the first 150 hands or so and then promptly became so ill I couldn’t play for over two weeks. There was definitely light at the end of the tunnel though, maybe I needed a break, maybe it was moving up to 50 again, who knows but despite a slow start things started to fall back into place for me this month and I am very happy on all counts. Considering how disappointed I have been lately, the last two weeks have been amazing 
I even managed a little bum hunting at 100nl and 200nl. Here’s my results and graphs:
EDIT: Forgot to mention my impulse buy last night, finally treated myself to a 28″ monitor and I’ve just realized I didn’t put up any goals for next month, I’ve gotta run out now I’ll get that done soon, GL in November everyone xxx.
