The ramblings and mumblings of a wannabe poker pro

I’m Back…

After two weeks away from home, I am now back, well mostly back. I’ve been ill for over two weeks and despite being miles better then I was, I still don’t think I’m full recovered yet.

I hope to fall back into grinding really soon, as I am perilously close to not even locking up silver star for next month. I’ve just played a short session of 50nl fr and the tables felt v.good. A disappointing ~$60 loss didn’t do anything to lift my mood though.

I need to work hard to avoid being results orientated and find my footing again, as even before falling ill, its been sometime since I’ve felt happy about my game and progress. The rough game plan I have in mind to correct this is to play 10k hands 4 tabling with a focus on [re-]discovering my game and improving my red line, after 10k hands or whenever I’m happy with how things are going, I’ll commit to using the HUD and play another 10k hands. If things are still going well, I’ll start slowly adding tables until I am able to 8 table with a “solid” win rate. At that point I’m not sure what direction I’ll be heading in, but that feels like a long way off atm.
