Push for Platinum
After re-depositing to take advantage of the best re-load bonus ever on Poker Stars I have decided to push and earn platinum this month. Quite a turn around from a last week, when I didn’t even have a computer lol. My faithful computer still hasn’t returned to me, but I found a bargain online and managed to get another one setup to allow me to continue grinding for around $100, and I am totally amazed with how it is performing considering the amazingly cheap price.
So, now with a computer, I have done a rough calculation and I think I need to play a minimum of 2.5k hands per day every day for the rest of the month to hit the target. That would be all at 25nl fr. To make it easier on myself and more fun, I will be playing 6 max during my sessions as well, which will also benefit me, because they earn VPP’s at a slightly higher rate then full ring tables.
I kicked the push off with a good start last night, booking around 3k hands of mixed 25 and 50nl fr and 6m and look forward to continue the same mixed format during my evening sessions tonight. I am also looking to play more and more 50nl and will hopefully be making a permanent move to 50nl fr soon, which will help immensely with both achieving platinum this move and in clearing my reload bonus, as the VPP earn rate is much improved at 50nl.
After advise and consideration I have also started to make a long overdue change concerning my range that I flat a 3b with and I have also made what I believe is a significant change in an area that I wouldn’t have considered without some outside insight. I expect my red line to take a dip because of the new changes, but hopefully as I get used to my new style and improve I will be able to pick it up again. Maybe I’ll get lucky and it won’t dip like I expect, after all, that’ll be nice.
Happy Grinding!
PS: I almost forgot, I flopped a straight flush last night / this morning, this is I believe my 4th now, and is quite possibly the first one I have ever flopped. Interestingly the very next hand against the same villain I flopped the nut straight and an inside Royal Flush Draw, very nice indeed
