An Enjoyable Session
I’ve just finished my first session of the day, and I’ve only managed to fit in just over an hour of play, though I am really happy with how my session went. I did do two things I’m not happy with though. I tried to push someone off a hand and called where I probably shouldn’t. Those two spots aside though I felt I played really well, so well in fact that even stacking off with kings against aces and kissing goodbye to any profit I may have had didn’t phase me.
Here’s a few hands for you :
This was the first real hand I was involved in and it was just a little sick. I’ve just joked to a friend that I would have felt better if he hit the straight lol. Facing the small re-raise I was sure someone likely had JT here, but I couldn’t fold yet.

This little pain happened shortly afterwards. Usually I’m just straight giving up on this flop, but I felt it was worth a shot at taking it down. I’m not happy to get a call, but decided just to put the short stack all-in. How do you feel about the turn, not much fold equity I suppose, but if I check and he pushes am I not getting a good enough price to call anyway?

I didn’t expect to be in such good shape here. On the turn I felt I may as well try and get a fold by semi-bluffing the scare card, any thoughts?

This was something different for me. In 1c/2c I’m calling or folding here, here though he doesn’t have to be that strong. I’ve learned my lesson the last time I gave up AK to a 3-bet from TT lol. I figured if he’s got a great hand he’ll push if not I’ll take the pot down.

I really don’t like my check on the flop here. As soon as I checked I just had a sick feeling it would be so obvious I’ve flopped something big that I won’t get any action, and worse won’t be able to protect my hand if QJ decides to take a free card. Perhaps even more importantly if I start to check monsters on the flop then some of my opponents may suspect more of my flop bets are simply continuation bets and play back at me more. I suppose it isn’t too bad to check-raise here now and then to balance my play, but I much prefer leading the flop.

My re-raise is too big here right, I didn’t want to allow villain to draw cheap, but a small bet would have given me some action maybe, do you think a re-raise to $1.20 would be better or too cheap, I had no reads to put villain on much of a range?

This was my 2nd pair of aces, back to back and I was praying to take a stack after getting no action on the previous hand, only 3 hands later I got aces again at the same table
This is the villain who called me down with bottom pair earlier.

Should I have folded this river, villain was unknown and I had no reads, does my line make my holding obvious? Whats with all the big aces in limped pots?

Maybe I’ve turned a corner, here I was hoping for a push instead of praying he didn’t have aces lol. A little unlucky on the river though, I really thought I sucked out on him there.
